INFURIATING THINGS ARE INFURIATING.
Sooooo here’s the thing about Planned Parenthood doing more than just abortion procedures: some of those other things include breast examinations. Breast examinations screen for cancer. Cancer doesn’t have politics, but anti-choicers sure as hell do. Guess what nonprofit clinics can’t do if you pull their funding - other life saving procedures and examinations, so very few of which are abortions.
Which, you know, is not news, has not been news ever really, but especially not in the past year and oh, yeah - HOW MANY CONTRIBUTORS DONATE TO SUSAN G. KOMEN. HOW MANY OF THOSE DONORS ADVOCATE FOR WOMEN’S HEALTH. WHAT DOES PLANNED PARENTHOOD PROMOTE. WOMEN’S HEALTH.
How many of those donors also contribute to Planned Parenthood? Perhaps not a significant amount. Maybe I am assuming too much in the alignment of women’s cancer concerns versus issues regarding women’s reproductive organs. But for fucks sake: don’t aid in the demolishing of an already tenuous coverage of women’s health.
